This Historic Building at 6th & Lincoln has been home to some of Steamboat’s most groundbreaking businesses.
Founded by James Harvey Crawford and The Crawford Family in 1874, Steamboat Springs, Colorado has a rich and illustrious history as diverse as it’s beauty. Home to natural hot springs located throughout the town, Steamboat’s springs create a bubbling sound that early settler’s believed sounded like a Steamboat coming down the river, and thus the Town’s name was born. From it’s settlement to present day, Steamboat’s natural geography has lent itself to extraordinary athletes, and to this day is home to the highest per capita Olympians in the United States.
The home of Old Town Pub was built in 1904 by Ernest Campbell and originally housed the Albany Hotel. This Historic Building at 6th & Lincoln has been home to some of Steamboat’s most groundbreaking businesses. The building served as the town’s first hospital, several general stores and post offices, a movie theatre, dance hall, and even served as a lodge for The Odd Fellows working masons.
As Steamboat prospers and grows, The Old Town Pub is proud to be a member of this town’s amazing history and future.
